The Landlord - Nick Gentleman, came to Alstonefield to run the George on behalf of Marston’s until they have sold it. A very experienced publican, Nick is re-establishing the George as a popular country pub and you can be assured of a warm welcome. However, Nick is being limited by what he can offer in terms of food and drink by the brewery, who just want it ticking over until it is sold.  Despite this, what he is offering is proving popular, especially his pies.

Emily, who has worked with Nick in the past is here every Friday to Sunday to run the bar.

Thea, a university student, works in the bar during weekday evenings.
