Charlie is a retired airline pilot and he and his family have lived in Alstonefield for over 27 years.

Losing the pub for several years had a very noticably negative effect on the local community. It has been a delight to see it coming back to life under the current temporary landlord.
There have been many successful community purchases through out the U.K. I sincerely hope we can achieve the same here in Alstonefield."

Jon moved to Alstonefield in 1991 with his family and has been a regular customer of The George since then. He is involved with various community groups and activities in the village, and is very keen to see The George secured for the future at the heart of the community.

Satish is the Company Secretary and moved to the village with his wife and two young children one year ago. He is a regular at The George, which has helped him and his family to meet people in the village and enjoy village life.

Nick and his family have lived in Alstonefield and enjoyed the pleasures of The George since 1997. His career as a banker and company director (though now retired) is helping to inform an achievable Business Plan for the reset of The George at the heart of the community, in the village and beyond.

Thea and her family have lived in Alstonefield since 2020, and she currently works behind the bar at The George. Through working at the pub she has had the ability to see just how vital the pub is in supporting the local community as well as visitors. Her experience as a current third-year student at Newcastle University studying Geograph
